Dr. Hassad has experience working across a variety of clinical settings, including community mental health, private practice, college counseling centers, Department of Mental Health (DMH) programs, Full-Service Provider (FSP) agencies, and the California Department of Corrections and Rehabilitation (CDCR). Through this work, she has developed extensive experience supporting individuals with complex clinical needs, including trauma, personality disorders, identity-related concerns, and post-traumatic stress.

Dr. Hassad utilizes an integrative, trauma-informed, and whole-person approach to therapy. She draws from psychodynamic, liberation, and attachment-based frameworks while maintaining a culturally responsive lens that recognizes the impact of systemic challenges, intergenerational trauma, and oppression on mental health. She has particular passion and experience working with individuals within the LGBTQIA+ community and strives to create a therapeutic environment where clients feel seen, understood, and empowered.

Dr. Hassad works collaboratively with clients to deepen self-understanding, strengthen emotional awareness, and support individuals in finding their voice and navigating the world in ways that feel authentic and meaningful. Her goal is to help clients cultivate resilience, clarity, and self-advocacy as they move toward healing and personal growth.

Outside of her clinical work, Dr. Hassad enjoys creative writing and storytelling, particularly poetry and developing mental health-related children’s literature. She is passionate about meaningful dialogue, indigenous healing practices, and honoring the connection between mind, body, and spirit.
