Dr. Arpine Agakhanyan, Psy.D. (94028953) is a Psychological Associate practicing under the direct supervision of Dr. Mariam Ter-Petrosyan (PSY31182). She enjoys working with children, teens, and adults at all stages of life. She earned her Doctor of Psychology (PsyD) degree in Clinical Psychology and completed her doctoral internship in a private practice setting, where she gained experience working with individuals across the lifespan and with a variety of emotional, behavioral, and interpersonal concerns.

Dr. Agakhanyan believes therapy isn’t just about working through difficult moments. It’s also a space for self-discovery, personal growth, building confidence, strengthening relationships, and gaining a better understanding of yourself. She takes a warm, genuine, and down-to-earth approach, making it a priority to get to know each person beyond what initially brings them into therapy.

Whether she’s helping teens as they develop their sense of identity, or working with adults looking to make meaningful changes, Dr. Agakhanyan strives to create a space where clients feel comfortable being themselves. Her approach draws primarily from Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT), incorporating practical strategies, open conversations, and a little humor when appropriate.

Dr. Agakhanyan is fluent in both English and Armenian and is happy to provide services in either language, allowing clients to express themselves in the language they feel most comfortable using. Above all, she values genuine connections and believes that therapy should be a collaborative experience tailored to each person’s individual goals.
